The Stamping Process

A metal stamping technique called deep drawing is used to shape metal sheets into a range of hollow, axially symmetrical components. This stamping process primarily creates cylindrical shapes, although it can also manufacture items that resemble boxes. Numerous industrial and domestic components, such as sinks, griddles, plumbing fittings, car parts, beverage cans, and casings, can be formed via deep drawing stamping.
Using punching force, the metal sheet is dragged radially into the die chamber in this type of metal stamping. The metal plate is first put onto the mold that is being formed. The ends of the sheet are held in place by the blank holder's pressure. Subsequently, a mechanical stamping tool applies axial force to the sheet metal, allowing the workpiece to flow into the mold cavity and deform into the desired shape.
